About
Dr. Devon Dawson is a Fuqua Clinical Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellow at Shepherd Center, where he finds deep fulfillment in helping patients and families navigate the challenges of brain injury recovery. Whether through education, empathy, or instilling hope for the future, he is committed to providing compassionate and high-quality care.
Dr. Dawson earned his doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Iowa, where he also completed her undergraduate studies in psychology and Spanish. He joined Shepherd Center in 2023 to further his expertise in neurorehabilitation, drawn to the organization’s patient-centered approach and its integration of neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy.
Originally from Pella, Iowa, Dr. Dawson stays active in his free time. He is an avid jiu-jitsu practitioner and has recently taken up running, with an ambitious goal of completing a marathon in the future.
