Melanie Armelin, MA, comes to us with many years of psychometry experience. She earned both a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Psychology and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Southern University Agricultural and Mechanical College of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Before joining the Shepherd Center, Melanie worked with children and adolescents with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Attention Problems. She has also worked with adolescents and adults with known or suspected Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Seizure Disorder, and other neurological disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer’s. In addition to neuropsychological testing, Melanie has co-led groups for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and adjustment to brain injury. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, hiking, nature walks, and time at the beach.
