Hannah Long, PsyD, joined Shepherd Center as the inaugural rehabilitation psychology postdoctoral fellow for the class of 2023-2025. Her training will focus on spinal cord injury and complex neuromedical patient populations, as she continues to refine her skills in providing treatment and assessments to patients affected by injuries and diseases. She graduated from Bradley University with her bachelor’s degree in psychology before obtaining her master’s degree in biomedical sciences and her Psy.D from Midwestern University in Downer’s Grove, Illinois. Dr. Long completed her internship in health psychology at the Medical College of Georgia/Charlie Norwood Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. She is passionate about helping patients cope with difficult challenges both mentally and physically. Along with her clinical work, Dr. Long is passionate about involving animal-assisted interventions with patient care and enjoys volunteering in the community with her therapy dog, Daisy.
