Meet Luke Stonecypher, a resilient 18-year-old from Dacula, Georgia! On December 7, 2023, Luke sustained a brain injury while waiting for a pitching lesson. A baseball struck him in the left temple, leading to emergency brain surgery. Despite this life-changing event, Luke’s determination has never wavered.
Luke enjoys fishing, playing golf, watching and playing baseball, and hanging out with friends. He dreams of graduating high school in 2025 and pursuing a career in welding.
Luke hopes Shepherd Center continues to help others recover from their injuries, just as they helped him. His favorite memory at Shepherd is working on his balance and steadiness by throwing a tennis ball into a catching net with his physical therapist. He also loved making cookies with his occupational therapist.
