Lincoln’s bio

Meet Lincoln, a 16-year-old from Knoxville, Tennessee, whose life took a sharp turn after a car accident led to an acquired brain injury. An avid athlete, Lincoln plays travel baseball and enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing cards. He’s a pitcher for the nationally ranked East Cobb Astros 16U team and dreams of taking the mound for Vanderbilt or Tennessee. Lincoln imagines Shepherd Center in 1975 as having much smaller facilities, but still staffed with incredible people. Looking ahead, he sees Shepherd continuing to grow and helping even more people recover from life-changing injuries like his. His favorite memory? The exceptional care he received from his team. Ms. Dorothy’s kindness left a lasting impact, and Lincoln says she deserves a Daisy Award. Ali, his PT, pushed him with care and skill, and Rebecca M., his OT, helped him regain his independence. Each one playing a key role in his recovery.
