About
Dr. April Hodge is a board-certified neurologic clinical specialist and physical therapist at Shepherd Center’s Complex Concussion Clinic. She holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy Studies from the University of Utah. Dr. Hodge is dedicated to improving her patients’ quality of life through holistic treatments focused on dizziness, headaches, and pain. She prioritizes identifying patient goals and enhancing function through evidence-based care.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Hodge serves as the principal investigator for a study on Transcranial Direct-Current Stimulation (tDCS) paired with exercise and attention training for traumatic brain injury. She also volunteers with APTA Georgia and the ANPT Vestibular Rehab SIG, furthering her commitment to advancing the field of physical therapy.
Outside of work, Dr. Hodge enjoys outdoor activities like backpacking and cycling, especially when shared with her family. She finds great fulfillment in Shepherd Center’s dedication to supporting both patients and clinicians in achieving their goals.
