Meet Braxton, a 17-year-old from Florence, Alabama, who brings laughs, heart, and grit everywhere he goes. After a car accident in November 2024 led to a spinal cord injury, Braxton has stayed true to his roots — hunting, fishing, watching sports, cutting grass, and spending time with his crew. He imagines Shepherd Center in 1975 as tough and resourceful, even without today’s modern equipment. Looking ahead, he hopes for breakthroughs that could even repair spinal cords and give more people the chance to heal. His favorite Shepherd memory? A hilarious scavenger hunt with his therapist, Brian Tanner, that turned into bookstore mayhem over a roll of wrapping paper! Braxton never gives up, knows how to get a laugh, and is always building others up. And did we mention Wyatt Flores dedicated a song to him at a concert? Now that’s star power ready for the runway!
