Danielle Bonner, PT, D.P.T., NCS, C/NDT, CSRS, has been with Shepherd Center since 2010 and currently serves as the Residency Coordinator for the Mercer University-Shepherd Center Residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy.

About

Danielle Bonner has been a member of the Shepherd Center team since 2010 and is passionate about helping patients recover and regain independence following a brain injury. She is committed to educating and supporting caregivers, ensuring they have the knowledge, resources, and confidence needed to maximize patient outcomes. Danielle is equally passionate about mentoring and supporting acquired brain injury (ABI) physical therapists as they grow professionally and develop their clinical expertise.

Danielle’s connection to Shepherd Center began while she was a student physical therapist in 2009 in the Spinal Cord Injury Day Program. During that experience, she was inspired by the dedication and values of the therapists, the support provided by leadership, and the culture of hope and positivity that surrounded patients recovering from complex injuries. She knew she wanted to work in an environment that prioritized patients while also investing in the growth, satisfaction, and development of its staff.

Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Danielle values the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and families navigating the challenges of recovery.

Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband, Bryan Schroeder, their daughter, Liz Reed, their golden retriever, Miles, and their cat, Sunbear. As a family, they enjoy hiking, camping, canoeing, and exploring Atlanta’s vibrant food scene.
