Drew’s bio
Meet Drew, a 15-year-old from Pound Ridge, New York, who brings energy, determination, and a sense of adventure everywhere he goes. After a backflip while skiing led to a spinal cord injury in March 2025, Drew has stayed true to what he loves — football, basketball, lacrosse, hiking, hanging out with friends, and spending time with his two chocolate labs. He thinks Shepherd Center in 1975 was smaller and less tech-savvy (and probably didn’t have facility dogs or Brian Tanner!). Looking ahead, he hopes for more surgical options and tech advances to help people recover and thrive. His favorite memory? Getting in a manual wheelchair for the first time and giving his therapists a hard time while doing it. Drew’s an international traveler (15 countries and counting!), a trick skier, and a proud supporter of Cycle for Survival, where his family raised over $37,000 for rare cancer research.
