Jackson’s bio

Meet Jackson, an 18-year-old from Alexandria, Minnesota. In January 2025, a hockey game led to a spinal cord injury but his spirit is still fierce. Jackson loves playing hockey, fishing, jet skiing, swimming, and building survival-style forts. He imagines that in 1975, Shepherd Center didn’t have today’s medical advances, making recovery much harder. Looking ahead, Jackson sees a future with cutting-edge technology like Neuralink implants helping those with brain and spinal cord injuries. One of his favorite memories from Shepherd? Grabbing a root beer float at Shake Shack with Deb, Gavin, and Avery. Fun facts about Jackson: He goes to a prep boarding school for hockey, has a knack for antagonizing both opponents and his therapists (especially Kelsey and Chris), and owns 10 NHL jerseys signed by players and teams.
