Kip’s bio
Meet Kip, an 18-year-old from Tampa, Florida, who came to Shepherd Center after being hit by a car while walking on the University of Tampa campus. A lifelong soccer player, Kip also enjoys the beach, golf, fishing, watching movies, listening to music, and spending time with friends, family, and his Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity brothers. He imagines Shepherd in 1975 as a small, lesser-known center focused only on spinal cord injuries. Looking ahead, Kip sees Shepherd expanding in size, leading innovative research, and continuing to prioritize family-centered care. His favorite memory? Laughing with his therapists during sessions that made healing a little lighter. Fun facts: Kip started playing soccer at age 3, graduated high school a year early, and is already a junior at the University of Tampa. He also loves watching all kinds of sports, especially Formula 1 racing.
