About

Liv Nyankori serves as Director of Case Management and Admissions at Shepherd Center, where she oversees the full continuum of case management — from patient access and admission through care coordination, discharge planning, and long‑term transition needs. Since joining Shepherd in 2007, Liv has played a key role in shaping integrated, patient‑centered strategies that support individuals and families throughout their rehabilitation journey. In her leadership role, she collaborates closely with physicians, clinical teams, and organizational leadership to strengthen communication, streamline processes, and ensure patients receive the right care at the right time.

Throughout her nearly 20 years at Shepherd, Liv has held several leadership and clinical roles, including ABI Nurse Educator, PRN Outpatient Registered Nurse, ABI Post‑Acute Nurse Manager, and ABI Post‑Acute Program Manager. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) and a Certified Case Manager (CCM), bringing deep expertise in rehabilitation nursing and care coordination.

Her favorite thing about working at Shepherd is the deep sense of purpose that comes with being part of its missions. She is inspired by the resilience of our patients and families and the way every discipline works together to help them rebuild their lives. She finds Shepherd’s culture of compassion, teamwork, and innovation truly special and she feels grateful every day to contribute to an organization that makes such a meaningful impact.

Beyond Shepherd, Liv serves on the board of the Brain Injury Association of Georgia, advocating for education, awareness, and support for individuals and families affected by brain injury. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Edward, and their two daughters, Adalen and Mali. She loves traveling, especially to volleyball tournaments with her younger daughter, and sharing life at home with their two adopted dogs, Marty and Coco.
