Dr. Nazia Bandukwala, D.O., serves as a consulting physician at the Shepherd Center’s Urology Clinic. She is board-certified in urology and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Bandukwala specializes in female urology, urodynamics, and reconstructive surgery. She served as chief urology resident at Detroit Medical Center and completed an international rotation at Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa.
Dr. Bandukwala has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and delivered presentations on various aspects of female urology, including sexually transmitted diseases, urological management, female prosthesis implantation, and incontinence.
Her research interests focus on young adult women with undiagnosed vesicoureteral reflux, the progression of sexual function in post-cystectomy female patients, and sexually transmitted diseases in urology patients. She is an active member of the American Urological Association and the American College of Surgeons.
