Resident matching process

The Residency Advisory Committee evaluates candidates each year. All qualifying candidates’ application materials will be screened using a standardized rubric that takes into account scholarly activity, professional and community involvement, work /practice experience, learning experience rotations, letters of recommendation, and letters of intent.

An opportunity to interview will be offered to the top candidates. Each interviewer will submit an evaluation of the candidate using a standardized rubric.

After completion of all interviews, interview evaluations, and clinical skills assessment evaluations, the Residency Selection Committee makes a Rank Order List in the NMS Match System in our order of applicant preference.
