Shepherd Center Financial Help Summary
Shepherd Center gives financial help to patients who need support paying for medically needed care. This help is called the Charity Care Program.

What services are covered?
- The program covers most medically needed services provided by Shepherd Center.
- Some services are not covered, including various high-cost drugs and certain outpatient services. Please read the full Financial Assistance Policy for details.
- Discounts depend on your income and assets.
- You will not be charged more than the Amount Generally Billed (AGB), which is generally the average amount billed to insurers and Medicare for similar services.
How do I apply?
- Fill out the Financial Assistance Application before admission, if possible.
- Give proof of income and other documents if asked.
- Financial Counselors will review your application and let you know the decision.
