About
Dr. Laurie Baker, a seasoned Clinical Neuropsychologist, has been part of Shepherd Center since 2009. With advanced training in neuropsychology, including a postdoctoral fellowship at Shepherd Center itself, she is deeply committed to advocating for the specialized mental health needs of neuromedical patients and their families.
Dr. Baker’s approach centers around individualized, patient- and family-centered care, believing in the transformative power of support throughout rehabilitation. She was drawn to Shepherd Center because of its unwavering commitment to placing patients and families first, offering state-of-the-art care.
Originally from Farmington, Minnesota, Dr. Baker is an advocate for mental health within the medical community, frequently volunteering and educating others on best practices for treating patients with complex needs. Outside of work, Dr. Baker loves to travel and cherish family moments, especially with her young son who keeps her busy.
