About

Dr. Vanessa Watorek is a clinical neuropsychologist in the Acquired Brain Injury Unit and the Assistant Training Director for the Fuqua Clinical Neuropsychology Fellowship Program at Shepherd Center. She is passionate about advocating for her patients’ well-being and collaborating with their treatment teams to support them throughout their recovery.

Dr. Watorek earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Hartford. She completed a predoctoral internship in clinical neuropsychology at Hamilton Health Sciences Regional Rehabilitation Centre and a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Shepherd Center. She joined Shepherd in 2019, drawn to its commitment to holistic, patient-centered care that values dignity, autonomy, and diversity.

Originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Dr. Watorek enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, and exploring the greater Atlanta area.
