Insurance and payment options

Shepherd Center works with most major insurance providers, including Medicare and Medicaid. We recommend checking with your insurance company to confirm coverage before treatment. We offer the following payment options:

  • Insurance coverage through an accepted plan
  • Self-pay and payment plans
  • Financial assistance for qualifying patients

We offer a Patient Cost Estimator tool to provide you with an estimate of the cost that you may incur for some of the more common services provided at Shepherd Center. Please note that this list is not all-encompassing, as the services provided to patients vary dramatically based on the situation and setting in which the care occurs.

Financial assistance and payment plans

We believe finances shouldn’t be a barrier to getting the care you need. If you’re facing financial hardship, we offer payment plans to spread out costs over time and financial assistance programs for eligible patients.

Billing and collection practices

Shepherd Center does not engage in aggressive collection practices. We will send monthly statements and work with patients to find solutions. Patients have up to 240 days to submit financial assistance applications. No patient will be denied medically necessary care due to inability to pay.
