About

Dr. Chelsea Day is a clinical neuropsychologist specializing in inpatient neurorehabilitation. She has been a dedicated member of Shepherd Center’s team since 2010, bringing a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration in patient and family-centered care.

Dr. Day earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C., and completed her undergraduate studies at Coastal Carolina University. Her approach to neurorehabilitation is rooted in the belief that hope is essential to healing — a philosophy instilled by her grandfather, who often said, “Hope is the oxygen of life.”

She was drawn to Shepherd Center because of its mission and values, which closely align with her commitment to providing compassionate, holistic care. For Dr. Day, the greatest honor is working alongside an exceptional team while supporting patients and families during one of the most pivotal times in their lives.

Originally from Fairfield, CT, Dr. Day continues to be inspired daily by the resilience of the people she serves.
