About
Donna Piper is a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist within Shepherd Center’s Acquired Brain Injury Program. Her passion lies in several areas of clinical expertise, including splinting and casting, vestibular rehabilitation, ataxia management, and educating student physical therapists and residents.
Her commitment to neurologic physical therapy extends beyond her physical therapist role to the Mercer University-Shepherd Center Residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy, where she currently serves as the residency application and credentialing coordinator. In this role, she offers valuable support by providing prospective residents with the most current information about the program, reviewing residency applications, facilitating interviews, and aiding in the selection of qualified candidates. As a former resident, she actively contributes to shaping the residency curriculum and planning while offering mentorship to the next generation of residents.
Working at Shepherd Center, Donna cherishes the spirit of teamwork that permeates around the hospital each day. She loves getting to collaborate with fellow physical therapists and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve the best possible outcomes for each patient.
