About
Melanie Armelin joined Shepherd Center in 2022 and brings a background in mental health counseling and rehabilitation psychology. With a specialization in working with patients dealing with neurological impairments, including Alzheimer’s, dementia, and traumatic brain injury, Melanie is passionate about supporting her patients to give their best during evaluations.
She was drawn to Shepherd Center’s multidisciplinary approach, which enables patients to receive comprehensive care under one roof.
Originally from Baldwin, Louisiana, Melanie lived in Spring, Texas for 25 years before moving to Atlanta. She is actively involved in community service through her sorority, volunteering to uplift communities in various ways. She enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with her family, and exploring new places, especially beautiful homes and beaches.
