Susan Holt is the executive assistant to Shepherd Center’s president and CEO, as well as the chief operating officer. In this role, Susan maintains daily calendars, takes telephone calls, arranges executive director’s meetings, prepares department budgets and handles financial requests.
Before joining Shepherd Center, Susan served in various roles at healthcare organizations, including as a personnel assistant at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), administrative assistant at DeKalb Medical Center, a program coordinator at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and an executive assistant at Piedmont Hospital. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from Auburn University.
Susan has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field and in business administration. She also has been an active member in numerous community activities, serving as a school council member at Evansdale Elementary, the communications director at Henderson Middle School, the vice president of communications at Lakeside High School Touchdown Club and the president of Lakeside High School Swim and Dive Team Fin Club.
Susan has been married for 27-plus years to her husband, Randy. Both Susan and Randy are native Atlantans. They have four children, Sarah, Nathaniel, Nicholas and Matthew, and a puppy named Zoey. Susan’s spare time has been spent at many sporting events – football, baseball and swim team – and she says she has loved every minute of it.
