Psychology Training and Education Programs
At Shepherd Center, our psychology training and education programs create a distinctive learning environment within a premier neurorehabilitation hospital. We prioritize the role of mental health experts as integral members and leaders within the interdisciplinary rehabilitation and care teams. This philosophy allows for direct and immediate communication concerning patient care, ensuring the implementation of the most effective and evidence-based treatment interventions for patients and their families.
Guiding these training and education programs is our experienced psychology staff, who deliver psychological services throughout the entire neurorehabilitation process, from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to inpatient acute care and outpatient post-acute care. The interventions provided include emotional, cognitive, behavioral, pain, and process-related issues associated with the catastrophic injuries and illnesses treated at Shepherd Center.
