Ashley joined the Hulse Spinal Cord Injury Research Lab in 2024 as the Spinal Cord Injury Research Fellow. She graduated from Mercer University’s Physical Therapy Program in 2024 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Ashley completed her final clinical rotation of physical therapy school at Shepherd Center on the Acquired Brain Injury Unit. During her time as a student at Shepherd, she discovered her passion for advocating for the neurologic patient population through research.
She desires to contribute to the furthering of knowledge within the neurologic realm because she believes patients deserve more information that can be used to make decisions surrounding their treatment and prognosis. As a fellow, Ashley’s time is divided between direct patient care and working in the lab. Her overall goal for her career is to improve the lives of the patients she serves.
