About
Dr. Mustafa completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship within the neuropsychology track at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. Prior practicum experiences include TIRR’s inpatient brain injury and spinal rehabilitation units and outpatient evaluations at UT Health Houston with dementia, movement disorder, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and tumor populations.
She earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a specialization in clinical neuropsychology from the University of Houston. Her clinical and research interests largely involve understanding the impact of medically complex conditions (e.g., vascular disease, stroke, traumatic brain injury, organ transplant, HIV, epilepsy, etc.) on cognitive performance and everyday functioning.
Dr. Mustafa enjoys photography, live music, bike riding, and trying new recipes. She is originally from Northwest Arkansas (Go Hogs!) and aims to discover all of the wonders of Atlanta!
