How to Apply for the Shepherd Center Nurse Scholars Program

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates for the Shepherds Center Nurse Scholars program must be full-time or part-time nursing students pursuing an associate degree in nursing (AND/ASN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at an accredited college in Georgia.

  • Candidates must remain enrolled and remain in good standing in their degree program.
  • Scholarship funds are awarded at the end of the semester and can be used for tuition fees and educational expenses.
  • Scholars must submit their final transcript at the end of each semester to the Shepherd Center Nurse Scholars Section Committee to ensure that they meet the eligibility requirements for subsequent scholarship renewal.
  • If the recipient fails to enroll, withdraws from college, or does not maintain eligibility requirements, the Shepherd Nurse Scholars and Selection Committee will select another student if time permits; otherwise, funds are held in the scholar's account and carried over to the next semester.
