Specialized, all-inclusive care for complex spinal cord injuries

Each year, we help hundreds of individuals like you, who are navigating challenges from paraplegia, tetraplegia, and dual diagnosis involving both spinal cord injury and concurrent brain injury. Our Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Rehabilitation Program provides comprehensive care under one roof, so you can focus on your recovery without the stress of transferring between facilities.

Why specialized spinal cord injury rehabilitation matters

Early, expert care after a spinal cord injury can dramatically impact your long-term recovery. As the only freestanding rehabilitation hospital with an onsite ICU, we integrate acute medical care with advanced therapies to reduce complications and improve outcomes.

What to expect in our inpatient SCI rehabilitation program

Your journey begins with a plan tailored to your level of injury and personal goals. Each day, you’ll participate in 3–5 hours of intesnive therapy, designed to restore function and independence. Highlights of our SCI rehab program include:

  • Integrated therapies: Physical, occupational, and speech therapy to rebuild strength, balance, and communication skills.
  • Interdisciplinary team: More than a dozen SCI specialists, including physicians, therapists, nurses, psychologists, and case managers, working together to support every aspect of your recovery.
  • Advanced technology: Robotic-assisted therapy, functional electrical stimulation (FES), and adaptive equipment to accelerate progress.
  • Family education & training: Hands-on guidance and resources to prepare loved ones for life after rehab.
  • Emotional support: Counseling, psychology, peer mentoring, and chaplain services to help you and your family adjust.
  • Adaptive fitness & recreation: Sports and wellness programs to keep you active beyond therapy.
  • Respiratory care: Comprehensive ventilator management and weaning programs for patients with breathing challenges.
